Then click and install the first option in the "options" panel, "Autodesk Licence Manager". after that is done, go back to the setup window and click the button under the previous one, "Launch the network setup". once open you will have the following choice:
select, "deployment tree for network licensing". on the next page you will be asked to set a location for install. make a new folder somewhere in you computer and share it accross a network. my computer's name is shown and the shared folder, "\timbo\shared"
fill in the name of the server and your server host ID. after that, press next and you will choose where you want to install 3ds max and the type of installation
then proceed. the setup will copy the files needed for installaton to your shared folder. when it's done press finish and go to your setup folder and run the new setup.exe
after completing the installation, run 3ds max 5. on startup you will be prompted for a licence. choose network licence and find the location of the .lic file that came with your 'CD'. if you're not sure, use the embedded search in the start bar to find "*.lic" after finding the file you can proceed to work in 3ds max 5.
DirectX 8.1 w/ software rendering seems to be the only combo that works for me.
Chira, макс запускает или еще нет? как я понял тебе сейчас нужно указать при запуске макса файлик котрой должен быть у тебя в директории макса. вот этот файлик к нему укажи путь и должно запуститься.
